07/04/23 p.m. – The Three Deities of Vrindavana (English translation) – Punjab | Srila BV Vana Maharaja

-When we left Vraja, we got to see the glories of Vraja, where everyone talks: Radhe Radhe!
-How did the Deity Madana-mohana appear?
-In Vrindavana there are three Deities: Madana-mohana, Govinda and Gopinatha, and the three together manifested as the Radha-ramana Deity.
-Krishna’s great-grandson, Vajranabha, made a request to Uttara, mother of Pariksit Maharaja: I don’t know Krishna, so under your guidance, I want to make a Deity of Krishna. But in the end he made three: Madana-mohana has the same feet as Krishna (presides sambandha-tattva); Govindadeva has the same face as Krishna (presides over abhidheya-tattva); Gopinatha has the same chest as Krishna (presides prayojana-tattva).
-Sanatana Gosvami manifested a temple in Vrindavana for Madana-mohana Deity.
-Story of the lady who cooked for Krishna by spooning the same stick she used to clean her own teeth.
-Story of how Sanatana Gosvami served the Deity Madana-mohana.
-Story of the stranded boat carrying salt, whose owner asked Sanatana Gosvami and Madana-mohana for their blessings… and so the temple was built.
-Story of the Muslim king who tried to destroy the temples of Krishna.
-Krishna prefers to eat at Vidurani and Vidura’s house and does not take a single bite at Duryodhana’s house.
-Akhaya-patra, Draupadi’s magic pot and the 60,000 thousand disciples of Durvasa Rishi.
-We must invoke the Deity as Draupadi; we must feed the Deity as Vidurani; we must lull the Deity to sleep like Mother Yashoda.
