He [a devotee] spoke very nicely and glorified about Svarupa Damodara in Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s lila, it is called Svarupa Damodara and also radha-krishna-lila, that is called Lalita Sakhi. Just I want to speak few words I will not take too much of your time because couple days I also discussed about Lalita-saptami katha, the glories of Lalita-devi and now we have come in the Mahaprabhu’s lila, that is called Svarupa Damodara, Mahaprabhu’s very nearest and dearest person specially in Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, Krishnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami explained, in Mahaprabhu’s three and half antaranga-parshada, internal associates. Three and half, not four. Svarupa Damodara, Raya Ramananda, Shikhi Mahiti and Madhavi-devi. Madhavi-devi, she is called half, and Svarupa Damodara, Raya Ramananda and Shikhi Mahiti, they are complete.
So in this way in Chaitanya-charitamrita, Krishnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami explained this way. Especially Svarupa Damodara is very nearest and dearest to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. What Chaitanya Mahaprabhu speaks, what Chaitanya Mahaprabhu will do anything Svarupa Damodara he knows everything. And another thing, if anybody used to come to Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, singing one song or something, that song, kirtana, have to first checked by Svarupa Damodara because Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu could not tolerate the rasabhasa-dasha of kirtana.
Rasabhasa-dasha understand. Contradiction mood of rasas in shastra Mahaprabhu cannot tolerate, so for this regard if anybody can speak anything also, to speak in front of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and that thing first to listen Svarupa Damodara. If Svarupa Damodara accept, approved then Chaitanya Mahaprabhu listen, otherwise not. Svarupa Damodara is very prominent in Mahaprabhu’s lila. Svarupa Damodara is very nearest to Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu also. When Chaitanya Mahaprabhu took sannyasa, Svarupa also took sannyasa, but he did not get the yoga-patta, sannyasa-vesha, this cloth he did not take. Nama haila `svarupa’. Svarupa Damodara is very nearest and dearest to Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Svarupa Damodara always staying with Him, as like in Radha-Krishna’s lila where Srimati Radhika that time always two persons always with Her, that is called Lalita-devi and Vishakha, because when Srimati Radhika felt pangs of separation from Krishna and that time Lalita and Vishakha can pacify, no one can do this.
So all you all spoke very nicely. Srimati Radhika eight prominent sakhis that is called ashta-sakhis, Lalita, Vishakha, Chitra, Sudevi, Indulekha, Champakalata, Rangadevi and Tungavidya. Ashta-sakhis are there always. [Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura sang this song also, very nice. For Radha-Krishna’s lila they are helping:
yamunā-puline, kadamba-kānane, ki herinu sakhī! āja
śyāma baḿsīdhārī, maṇi-mañcopari, kare līlā rasarāja…
…aṣṭa-dalopari, śrī rādhā śrī hari, aṣṭa-sakhī parijana

Just I am telling something to you. [Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura, Kamala Manjari, not ordinary person. [Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura, he realised this song, he realised these things and glorified about Radha Krishna’s sweet lila. Yamunā-puline, kadamba-kānane, ki herinu sakhī! āja. O sakhi, what did I see today when I was chanting holy names?
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna krishna krishna hare hare hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare
On the bank of Yamuna and Vrindavana Krishna, Srimati Radhika dancing one very nice beautiful blossom lotus and the eight corners, eight lotus also blossom and eight sakhis are there, and saying,
yamunā-puline, kadamba-kānane, ki herinu sakhī! āja
aṣṭa-dalopari, śrī rādhā śrī hari, aṣṭa-sakhī parijana
And Lalita-devi is prominent. Under guidance of Lalita-devi, then all sakhis perform their duties. She is called chief commander of all the sakhis. [Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura in Jaiva-dharma explained in this way, those who are very fortunate, they will come in the line of Svarupa Damodara and Mahaprabhu’s line especially in Svarupa Damodara and in Radha-Krishna’s lila coming in Lalita Sakhi’s. And there are many kinds of sakhis also, manjaris also there. Every sakhi’s group leader they have different different…Manjari’s also there, especially Lalita-devi she gives all kinds of instruction to all her sakhis. Just you see also sang this song,
palya-dāsī kori lalitā sundarī amare loiyā kabe
śrī-rādhikā-pade kale milaibe ajña-sebā samarpibe

[Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura sang this song, “When that day will come and Lalita-devi will take [me] in her group and she will give some lesson to me how to serve to Srimati Radhika and she will give me service to lotus feet of Srimati Radhika also?” Without this mercy of Lalita-devi, no one can serve Srimati Radhika. So saying palya-dāsī kori. Even [Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura explained the eleven ekadasa-bhavas, eleven stages of our siddhi-dasha: nama, rupa, guna, lila, seva, parakastha, palya-dasi-bhava, ajna-seva etc. So palya-dasi-bhava, who will give? Lalita Sakhi.palya-dāsī kori lalitā sundarī amare loiyā kabe
śrī-rādhikā-pade kale milaibe ajña-sebā samarpibe
Here also only one seva, what kind of seva? Ajna-seva, and even special instruction how to serve Srimati Radhika. This is very high level things speaking to you if you have so much greed you can read Jaiva-dharma grantha, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura explain all these things: what is the meaning of palya-dasi-bhava? What is the meaning of ajna-seva and special service to follow the instruction of Srimati Radhika, ajna-seva, everything is there. But without mercy of Lalita-devi, no one can serve Srimati Radhika, because Lalita-devi always controls Krishna and Lalita-devi, she is older, she is twenty seven days older than Srimati Radhika. Maybe one day before, we are celebrating Lalita-devi’s birthday, so how will you calculate from today to tomorrow, twenty seven days? Actually this is coming nakshatra, constellation calculation is there. If you want to know more, then later we can check where is this or you ask your guru then Gurudeva will explain to you. Don’t ask to me. This is true because shastra saying she is twenty seven days older than Srimati Radhika. This is also true. Just I also discuss these things. Lalita-devi, she is very expert, and all the sakhis they also. All the sakhis they also born very close to same nearby the same village of Srimati Radhika. Bhaktivinoda Thakura also sang this song:
dekhite dekhite, bhulibo vā kabe,
nija-sthūla-paricoya
nayane heribo, braja-pura-śobhā,
nitya cid-ānanda-moya
bṛṣabhānu-pure, janama loibo,
yāvaṭe vivāha ha’be
braja-gopī-bhāva, hoibe swabhāva,
āno-bhāva nā rohibe
Just I giving the evidence, where is Srimati Radhika, then all the sakhis, they [live] close to and nearby the village, Yogamaya, she arranged this way, where is Srimati Radhika. So [Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura sang in this way, bṛṣabhānu-pure that means I will take birth in Varshana, where Srimati Radhika was born and that place I will also take birth.
So [Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura sang, bṛṣabhānu-pure, janama loibo, yāvaṭe vivāha ha’be. So called Srimati Radhika, she married with Ayanaghosha in Yavata. Yogamaya arranged this lila.
So don’t you worry anything. Yogamaya, she arranged, how Srimati Radhika, she married with Ayanaghosha in Yavata. In the same way [Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura saying, I will also, what is called, marry in Yavata. Very close to Srimati Radhika. So saying:
bṛṣabhānu-pure, janama loibo,
yāvaṭe vivāha ha’be
braja-gopī-bhāva, hoibe swabhāva,
āno-bhāva nā rohibe
If you take birth in Goloka Vrindavana, in the same place of Vraja and gopi, then automatically, spontaneous, your abhimana, abhimana means? Egos will come.
abhimānaṃ parityajya prākṛta-vapur-ādiṣu śrī-kṛṣṇa-kṛpayā gopī-dehe vraje vasāmy aham
rādhikānucarī bhūtvā parakīya-rase sadā rādhā-kṛṣṇa-vilāseṣu paricaryāṃ karomy aham
(Bhajana-rahasya 11)
[After giving up false identification with this material body, may I obtain the body of a gopi and reside in Vraja by the mercy of Sri Krishna. May I become Sri Radha’s maidservant, and always serve Radha and Krishna, who revel in the rasa of paramour love.]But first you give up your material bodily conception.
First you have to give up your bodily, material bodily identification, dehatma-abhimana. Because if you have dehatma-abhimana, material bodily identification, you cannot say, I will take birth in Varshana, I will be married, that, that, that, that, you cannot say.
So, first you saying, abhimānaṃ parityajya prākṛta-vapur-ādiṣu. First give up our material bodily identification. Always absorb how to become the maidservant of Srimati Radhika, radha-dasyam. Then you can, then automatically it will be realised in your heart. This is the process also.
We are sometimes speaking high level katha, then those who are not digest, they start to criticise this nature, you know. Those who cannot digest, they have to vomit. This is nature.
If you eat over eating, or if you are not to digest in your stomach, what will you do? This is the nature or not? Our shastra is saying this way. Who criticise to whom? Who cannot digest. Oh, this is too much. This is too much for you.
This is not too much. That’s why if you should look how much you digest yourself. You not digest, no problem.
Don’t eat. Many kinds of preparation coming. How much you eat, this is your choice. Understand? Many kinds of preparation coming here. Laddu, kachori, mohanbhog. Many kinds of preparation.
56 types of preparation, chapanna–bhoga, But how much you digest? Or if you eat too much, then stomach problem will come. So now coming in this way, very carefully, [Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura, he also explains, everything is in Jaiva-dharma grantha, Lalita-devi, how she is so sweet and compassion to all the living entities. Srila Rupa Gosvamipada very clearly explained:
yāṁ kām api vraja-kule vṛṣabhānu-jāyā
prekṣya svapakṣa-padavīm-anarudhyamānām
sadyas tad-iṣṭa-ghaṭanena kṛtārthayantīṁ
devīṁ guṇaiḥ sulalitāṁ lalitāṁ namāmi
(Sri Lalitashtaka 7)
[I offer pranama unto the supremely charming Sri Lalita-devi, the treasure-house of all good qualities. Upon seeing any young maiden anywhere in Vraja and discerning that she is inclined towards her priya-sakhi Srimati Radhika, Lalita immediately tells Radha that She must accept this person in Her own party (sva-paksha). Radha obeys Lalita, who thus fulfills that maiden’s desires.]Even Vraja, if anybody just is thinking, I want to become the maidservant of Srimati Radhika. Just you think, and this word entered in the ears of Lalita-devi. At once Lalita-devi, she comes and they are saying, “Come, take shelter, lotus feet of Srimati Radhika.”
Bolo Lalita-devi ki jaya!
How is Lalita-devi so sweet and generous? No one can explain this. We are not qualified.
This is true, we are unqualified. But just this mood will come. I want to become a maidservant of Srimati Radhika, radha-dasyam. Actually this is our aim and object, this is true. So this mood will come. Then Lalita-devi is very humble and take you. She is generous. So don’t worry, that you will not attain your highest perfection goal.
Especially in this Kali-yuga, conditional soul, they are very fallen. And Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, what is He giving? Highest prema. He distributes the highest prema to everybody.
anarpita-carīṁ cirāt karuṇayāvatīrṇaḥ kalau
samarpayitum unnatojjvala-rasāṁ sva-bhakti-śriyam
hariḥ puraṭa-sundara-dyuti-kadamba-sandīpitaḥ
sadā hṛdaya-kandare sphuratu vaḥ śacī-nandanaḥ
(Vidagdha-madhava 1.2)
[May the son of Srimati Saci-devi, Sri Gaurahari, forever manifest spontaneously within the innermost core of your heart. Adorned with the radiant splendour of molten gold, He has descended in the Age of Kali by His causeless mercy to bestow upon the world that which has not been given for a long time – the beauty of His own brilliantly radiant ujjvala-prema-rasa bhakti, service in the highest mellow of amorous love.]Sachinandana Gaurahari indiscriminately distributed the highest prema to everybody. “Take this!” Even six types of people, they don’t want to receive the mercy of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. But Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is chasing them and by force and catch. “Take this! Why will you not take? Take this!” Gurudeva in one lecture also explained, especially in this incarnation of Sachinandana Gaurahari, Gaura-avatara, how He is generous. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Sachinandana Gaurahari, told His karuna-shakti… Karuna-shakti means what? The compassion. Hey Karuna-shakti, now you are free! No bound. Wherever you will go, – go. As like, what is called? As like the horse without reins. Lagaam hin ghode ke bad (Sanskrit/Hindi 8:24). Horse running without reins, and as much as like, you can run.
In the same way, Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu gave order to His own karuna-shakti. Hey Karuna-shakti, now you are free! Where will you go? I am giving this order to you. And you have to give this prema to everybody.
rāmādi avatare krodhe nānā astra dhare
ebe astra na dharila prāṇe
kare na mārilā harinama diya kaila udāt
In the incarnation of Krishna-Rama, He killed the demons. But in the incarnation of Sacinandana Gaurahari, He did not kill anyone. But He purified the heart of all the living entities through nama-sankirtana, and He also gave highest prema to everybody.
This is the process.
kṛṣṇa-nāma’ kare aparādhera vicāra
kṛṣṇa balile aparādhīra nā haya vikāra
(Chaitanya-charitamrita, Adi-lila 8.24)
[There are offenses to be considered while chanting the Hare Krishna mantra. Therefore simply by chanting Hare Krishna one does not become ecstatic.]caitanya-nityānande nāhi e-saba vicāra
nāma laite prema dena, vahe aśrudhāra
(Chaitanya-charitamrita, Adi-lila 8.31)
[But if one only chants, with some slight faith, the holy names of Lord Chaitanya and Nityananda, very quickly he is cleansed of all offenses. Thus as soon as he chants the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, he feels the ecstasy of love for God.]Mahaprabhu’s precious mercy, especially this Kali-yuga. Not every Kali-yuga. Do you understand? This Kali-yuga is called which Kali-yuga? Dhanya-kali. This Kali-yuga is Dhanya-kali. Special Kali. This Dhanya-kali, Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has come. He did not come every Kali-yuga. One day of Brahma, He comes.
And in the Satya, Treta, Dvapara, Kali, in this way thousand times rotation. Brahmaar ek din hai (11:02). One thousand chatur-yuga. Satya, Treta, Dvapara, Kali, in this way rotation. How many times? One thousand. In the end of Dvapara-yuga, same Krishna, Vrajendra-nandana Shyamasundara, He comes. Vrajendra-nandana Shyamasundara Krishna, He also doesn’t come every Dvapara-yuga. In which Dvapara-yuga, Vrajendra-nandana Shyamasundara, He comes? The end of Dvapara-yuga. Then in the beginning of the Kali-yuga. And same Krishna, He comes in the form of Sachinandana Gaurahari. And that time, He distributed this prema.
So for this regard, anarpita-carīṁ cirāt karuṇayāvatīrṇaḥ kalau. Karuna-shakti or karuna. I just discussed these things also. So, Mahaprabhu’s mercy. So, for this [Srila] Bhaktivinoda Thakura explained, in this end of Kali-yuga, the Kalki avatara would not come. I am not saying. Bhaktivinoda Thakura, he wrote. Don’t ask to me question. If you want to know, so you can ask to Bhaktivinoda Thakura and read his article. Bhaktivinoda Thakura is saying. So, no need to gossiping or criticise. Bhaktivinoda Thakura is saying, I am saying. Bhaktivinoda Thakura wrote this thing. This Kali is called Dhanya-kali:
ke jābi ke jābi bhāi bhava-sindhu-pāra
dhanya kali-yugera caitanya-avatāra
(Ke Jabi Ke Jabi Bhai Bhava Sindhu Para, verse 1

[Who will go? Who will go, brothers? Who will cross over this ocean of material suffering? This Kali-yuga in which Sri Chaitanya-avatara has appeared is blessed. Chaitanya-avatara does not come in every Kali-yuga.]Very nice, beautiful, this song. Why Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is called embodiment of munificence and magnanimity. Especially in this Kali-yuga. This Kali-yuga. Not every Kali-yuga. Brahmaar ek dinate hon avatirna. One day of Brahma, He comes. He does not come in every yuga also. So, he is saying this way. So, this Kali-yuga is called Dhanya-kali. Bhaktivinoda Thakura, he wrote. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is Krishna, Svayam Bhagavan. Antara krishna bahir gaura. Inside is Krishna. But He covered His body with the complexion of Srimati Radhika. No one can recognise Him. He is Krishna. His hands, legs, eyes, nose, everything is same Krishna. But just complexion, golden complexion.
Sometimes you are doing drama. Your face complexion. You put some make-up. Make-up means you put some colour. Golden colour, black colour. Your face complexion.
You put the black, you become Krishna. No one can recognise that. And when drama finish, they say, oh, you are that person.
So, in the same way, Krishna, He took Srimati Radhika’s fresh complexion and Her mood.
rādhā-bhāva-kānti dui aṅgīkāra kari
kṛṣṇa avatīrṇa hailā rūpa dhari
So, now Krishna. So, antara krishna, He is inside, Krishna. And externally He is showing this way. And He distributed this prema. In krishna-lila, He did not distribute that highest prema to everybody. He distributed this prema only inside Vrindavana.
But when same Krishna, He took Srimati Radhika’s mood and Her complexion, then highest mood, He distributed inside Vrindavana, outside Vrindavana, [to] everybody. He is giving to everyone. He did not discriminate who is qualified or who is unqualified.
yāre dekhe tāre deha prema bilāila
Who is coming in front of me and taking? Who did not want? Mahaprabhu is saying, “Take this!” By force, take this.
Gurudeva gave an example, as like sometimes, the baby calf, does not want to take the medicine. That time, that person put some medicine, in one bottle or something, and put the mouth. But the baby (refuses), but by force holding the mouth of the baby calf and put. Take this, take this
And baby calf, until swallow holding the calf. Take this.
In the same way, Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, how He is called? He is called magnificent, magnanimous. Take this, this. So Mahaprabhu’s lila.
Why we are so, especially in this Kali-yuga? All we are very fortunate. Not fortunate also. We are great fortune. Why? Because in this Kali Yuga, we have one chance, to go to Goloka Vrindavana, and how to become the maidservant of Srimati Radhika. Bolo Radharani ki jaya! This is chance or not? Golden chance coming. This is the thing.
Specially Svarupa Damodara, Lalita Sakhi. Same Svarupa Damodara. Lalita Sakhi now appeared, in Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s lila, that is called Svarupa Damodara.
So, Lalita Sakhi. So, Lalitastaka, Srila Rupa Gosvamipada so many glorifies about Lalita-devi. And Lalita-devi also, she gives some instruction to Srimati Radhika.
So, many kathas are there.
dhūrte vrajendra-tanaye tanu suṣṭhu-vāmyaḿ
mā dakṣiṇā bhava kalańkini lāghavāya
rādhe giraḿ śṛṇu hitām iti śikṣayantīḿ
devīḿ guṇaiḥ sulalitāḿ lalitāḿ namāmi
(Sri Lalitashtaka, verse 4)
[I offer pranama unto Sri Lalita-devi, the charming treasure-house of all good qualities, who instructs Srimati Radhika in this way: “O Kalankini! Radhe! Listen to my beneficial words! Vrajendra-nandana is very guileful. Don’t display Your mood of gentle submission to Him; instead, in all circumstances always be contrary.]Srila Rupa Gosvamipada glorified Lalita-devi.
Lalita-devi, she is giving the instruction, instruction to Srimati Radhika. Hey Radhe, you should not give up your sulky mood, vamya-bhava. Do you know? This stupid nonsense guy. Who? Krishna. Dhūrte vrajendra-tanaye. Used this word.
What is the word? Dhurta. Dhurta means cunning person. Stupid nonsense. Rascal. We cannot say. But who is saying this? The Sakhis, how they are saying using this word.
Tanu suṣṭhu-vāmyaḿ. “Hey Srimati Radhika, very carefully keep Your vamya-bhava.”
Because Srimati Radhika is very soft hearted. If anybody is crying, then Srimati Radhika’s heart melts. Lalita-devi. She is giving instruction. And also raise her index finger. Index finger.
“Hey Radhe, listen to my advice. Now He is very humble. And also again and again bow down his forehead on Your lotus feet.”
yat-kiṅkarīṣu bahuśaḥ khalu kāku-vāṇī
nityaṁ parasya puruṣasya śikhaṇḍa-mauleḥ
tasyāḥ kadā rasa-nidheḥ vṛṣabhānu-jāyās
tat-keli-kuñja-bhavanāṅgana-mārjanī syām
(Sri Radha-rasa-sudha-nidhi, verse 8)
[O daughter of Vrishabhanu Maharaja, ocean of rasa, that beautiful boy who wears a gracefully tilting peacock feather in His hair is actually the original Personality of Godhead. Still, He is always falling at the feet of Your maidservants and pitifully begging them with many humble words to gain entrance into Your kunja where the two of You engage in Your playful loving pastimes. My life would be successful if I could even be one stick in the broom Your maidservants use to clean Your delightful kunja.] [Srila] Prabodhananda Sarasvatipada quoted this verse of Radha-rasa-sudha-nidhi.So just I mentioned it. So Lalita-devi, she is saying. Don’t you give up your mana (anger).
Gaudiya Vaishnava means this. Gaudiya Vaishnava, they want Krishna have to again and again bow down His forehead lotus feet of Srimati Radhika and sakhis and manjaris. This is their aim and object. Krishna have to cry. Krishna have to cry for Srimati Radhika. Look this. Devotees they are crying for Krishna. Understand. Dhruva, Prahlada, Ambarisha. What they are doing? Crying for Krishna. Searching for Krishna. And same way Krishna now he is searching for His sakhis.
For this regard Krishna goes to herding the cows one forest to another forest. Shukadeva Gosvamipada told: vanam vanantare. Krishna he is going to herding the cows one forest to another forest. Why? Actually Krishna is searching. Where is My gopis and sakhis? This is the thing. And Krishna will be happy also. Especially when gopis chastise to Krishna. And Krishna is very happy.
priyā yadi māna kari’ karaye bhartsana
veda-stuti haite hare sei mora mana
(Chaitanya-charitamrita, Adi-lila 4.26)
[If My beloved consort reproaches Me in a sulky mood, that steals My mind from the reverent hymns of the Vedas.]When gopis they did mana. And use many harsh words. Krishna is very eager to listen that sweet words.
Brahmaji recited many stava-stuti to Him.
tad viṣṇoḥ paramaṁ padaṁ sadā paśyanti sūrayaḥ
divīva cakṣur ātatam
govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi
Brahma-stuti. Krishna is saying I am not happy. But when My sakhis specially Lalita, Vishakha, Srimati Radhikaa, they use many harsh words to Me and chastise to Me then I am very happy.
In this way just I have to come back. Time is over. Lalita-devi she is giving some instruction to Srimati Radhika.
dhūrte vrajendra-tanaye tanu suṣṭhu-vāmyaḿ
“Hey Srimati Radhika don’t You give up Your mana. In this way Lalita-devi also gives some instruction, shiksha to Srimati Radhika.
Many kathas also there. Sometimes Srimati Radhika did mana. And that mana is called durjaya-mana. What is durjaya-mana? Unbreakable mana.
And that time Srimati Radhika is very angry and strict words. Then Krishna came in the kunja of Srimati Radhika. And when Krishna came that time Srimati Radhika closed door of the kunja. And Srimati Radhika inside. And Krishna again and again bow down the lotus feet of Lalita-devi. Please help Me how to meet with Srimati Radhika.
But they told we cannot help you. Then anyhow Lalita-devi entered in that the kunja of Srimati Radhika. Then Srimati Radhika becomes very angry. Srimati Radhika also angry with Lalita. “Hey Lalita why did you come here? Get out from My kunja. I don’t want to listen to your any advice.” Then Lalita-devi returned back. What to do? In our Vaishnava poetry it is said. Then Lalita-devi told to Krishna. “Hey Krishna listen. Now Srimati Radhika is very angry. But after sometimes when Her anger will go down then You can come. Then You can meet with Her. Then Krishna left that the kunja.
When Krishna left that the kunja then Srimati Radhika opened her door. Then Srimati Radhika cried. Srimati Radhika asked to Lalita-devi. “Hey Lalita where is My Pranavallabha Govinda? Where is My beloved Krishna?” Then Lalita-devi told. “I told You please give up Your mana.”
Forgiveness is the great virtue. Understand. Forgiveness is the great virtue. Kshama parama dharma. Vedas also saying this. Forgiveness is the great virtue.
But you did not listen. So what to do. Arre, offence? What is called? Faults everybody has. Who has no faults? You are not the complete passing the Tulasi patra. Dhua Tulsi Patra nahi hai (Hindi). Understand?
Tulasi leaves always is what? Pure. Clean or unclean. Tulasi leaves always pure. But when you offer Tulasi leaves to lotus feet of Thakuraji, you have to wash. You understand. If you not wash the Tulasi leaves and offer to Thakuraji. Then next life you will take birth in Mleccha family. This is written in shastra. Understand. You read shastra. Haridasa Thakura life history saying this. And what is name? Who entered in the body of Haridasa Thakura? And No, no. And Richika Muni’s son. He also worshiped Tulasi but he did not wash Tulasi. That time his father gave curse. So shastra saying when you offer Tulasi You have to wash and clean. Vidhi-marga is there. So now just I come here. Because you are some mind will disturb. Because shastra saying. And how to offer Tulasi to Thakuraji. [If you] just now take one Tulasi and offer it, [then again] offence. If you to take the Tulasi you have to say pranama-mantra. Chant mantra to Tulasi. And ask your forgiveness to take the Tulasi. So just I will. So now coming in this way.
So Srimati Radhika was crying. And Lalita-devi told I ask You, arre, forgiveness is the great virtue. But You did not listen.
That time You did very mana. Very angry. Now what will do? Then Srimati Radhika was crying and crying. That time SWhe sang one song. Bengali song. Very nice beautiful. Heart melted song also.
ese cela hari, tāre kena jāte dili, prahārī hoyā rohita kuñjera dāri
Srimati Radhika is saying. “Krishna came In front of My kunja. Why did you allow Krishna to go out from My kunja? He may stay outside My kunja as like security guard. “
Srimati Radhika was crying and crying. And hold the lotus hand of Lalita-devi. “Hey Lalita. Now what will do now? He can stay outside My kunja. Bengali song. Lalita Devi she told.
tomara yāmara prāṇera sakhī, āmāra hṛdayera kathā sabī jānis
Srimati Radhika she told. “Hey Lalite. You are my very bosom friend. You know my heart. That time I was angry. This is true. But when My mana is what? Pacified. Then I can meet with My beloved Krishna. So why did you allow Him to go out from this kunja? He may stay outside My kunja as like security guard.” So saying this very nice beautiful song. Bengali song.
So many kathas is there. How Lalita-devi is also pacified to Srimati Radhika. And same way Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu when He felt pangs of separation.
rādhikāra bhāva yaiche uddhava-darśane
sei bhāve matta prabhu rahe rātri-dine
(Chaitanya-charitamrita, Adi-lila 4.108)
[Just as Radhika went mad at the sight of Uddhava, so Lord Chaitanya was obsessed day and night with the madness of separation.]When Uddhava came in Vrindavana, Uddhava saw Srimati Radhika’s transcendental madness. Divya-unmadini Srimati Radhika. Actually originally Srimati Radhika has two expansions. One is called Samyogini Radha and other is called Viyogini Radha. Samyogini Radha met with Krishna in Kurukshetra. And Viyogini Radha felt pangs of separation from Krishna. And she was staying in Uddhava Kyari. And Uddhava actually comes that place. And Uddhava he saw. Uddhava he saw Srimati Radhika’s transcendental madness. That is called. What is called? Bhramara-gita. Srimati Radhika’s what is called? Chitra-jalpa. Chitra-jalpa bhava. That thing. [Srila] Shukadeva Gosvamipada told to Parikshit Maharaja. Ten stages of chitra-jalpa. Sujalpa, prajalpa, vijalpa, etc. And this way.
So Uddhava he came and he saw Srimati Radhika’s this types of transcendental madness. In the same mood. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Day and night. And that time only Svarupa Damodara, Raya Ramananda. They are staying with Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. As like in front of Srimati Radhika, Lalita and Vishakha. They pacify to Srimati Radhika. Srimati Radhika felt pangs of separation from Krishna. That is called her viraha-jvara. Viraha-jvara means fever of separation. So viraha-jvara is going very up. Viraha-jvara gara gara. And that time all the sakhis, they are making one bed with the petals of the rose.
And also [Srimati Radhika] laying down one bed to another bed, another bed. But within couple of seconds all the petals of the rose completely dry. What kinds of viraha-jvara. So much heat coming from the body. And every second. And what she is speaking who knows. That is called udghurna. Udghurna means what She is saying, very difficult to understand. Sometimes Srimati Radhika told to Lalita-devi. “Hey Lalite, soon I will give up My body. I cannot tolerate viraha-jvara. But I will tell you one thing.”
Srila Rupa Gosvami has written one verse in Bhakti-rasamrita-sindhu. You read. Srimati Radhika told. Hey Lalite. Soon I will give up My body. But when I will give up My body you should not burn My body in the fire and offer to the water. Listen very carefully. My body should not burn. And should not also put in the water.”
na parayo radāṅga na vasayo jale
mori’le tuliyār ako tomāler dāle
Generally you can do this way. Jala-samadhi or burial. So for this regard. “ When I will give up My body, My body will be keep on the branches of tamala tree.”
Lalita-devi she was crying and crying. She told. “Hey Radhe, In this Vrindavana. So there are many trees. Why did you mention tamala tree? Also many trees or not? You have many trees or not? So many trees. Kadamba tree is also there. So why are you mention the tamala tree?” That time Srimati Radhika told. “Tamala tree is none different from Krishna. I have faith. Paurnamasi-devi told, one day Krishna will come in Vrindavana. So this is My hope. So when Krishna will come in Vrindavana and touch My dead body, then I will get back My life air.” In this way Srimati Radhika told and fainted. Rupa Goswami explained in this way.
Then after few minutes again Srimati Radhika returned back Her consciousness. Then She told. “Hey, Lalite, listen. When I give My body you bring My dead body on the bank of Yamuna and [with] the sand of Yamuna cover my body. And also write krishna-nama and put Tulasi Manjari on My body. I hope Krishna will come in Vrindavana and accept Me.”
Then Lalita-devi asked. “Why the sand of Vrindavana on the bank of Yamuna and cover Your body?” Srimati Radhika told. “All the dust of Vrindavana. All the sand of Vrindavana on the bank of Yamuna. Everything is actually is Krishna’s charana-dhuli. So anyhow I will touch Krishna’s food dust. Then my body will get full. When I give up My body the ingredients of My body also serve to Krishna. The water of My body will be mixed with the water of Pavana-sarovara where Krishna will take bath. The earth of My body will be mixed in the courtyards of Nanda Maharaja where Krishna walks. And the air of My body will be mixed with the air when Krishna will feel very hot and there is someone fanning. And the cool air. Also touch the fan. And the space, akasha (aether), will be mixed with the courtyards of Nanda Maharaja. In this way fire in my body also will be mixed with the rays of the sun. And especially with the time when Krishna is taking rest, sun bathing.”
Actually sun bathing coming from. Not even doing the new things. Everything is coming from Vedas.As like Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, when He felt pangs of separation He only told to Svarupa Damodara and Raya Ramananda. Especially Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu spoke to Svarupa Damodara. Because Svarupa Damodara is Lalita and he knows the heart of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu as Lalita-devi knows the heart of Srimati Radhika.
