What is the essence of Life?
- Bhagavat-seva.
sāksād-dharitvena samasta-śāstrair
uktas tathā bhāvyata eva sadbhi
kintu prabhor ya priya eva tasya
vande guro śrī-caranāravindam
(Śrī Gurvāṣṭakam 7, Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravarti Ṭhākura)
Scriptures unanimously proclaim śrī guru to be sākṣāt-hari, directly Śrī Hari. This is a fact jointly corroborated by all saintly persons. Yet at the same time, śrī guru is very dear to Bhagavān. I adore the lotus feet of that śrī gurudeva (who is inconceivably one with and different from Bhagavān). - asraya vigraha –> Srimati Radhika anugatya (under the guidance of Srimati Radhika)
- visaya vigraha –> Krsna seva –> param-dharma
-Brajabasi anugatya - Rupa Manjari anugatya – the speciality of Gaudiya
-Navami-tithi: Srila Narayana Gosvami Maharaja - vaisnava avirbhava and tirobhava
surya (sun): according to our angle of vision: uddhay and asthay - milana and viraha –> one coin with two sides –> prema raja (the realm of the divine love)
Visvanatha Chakravartipad: Ujjala Nilamani and Prema Samputa (Srimati Radhika and Devangana) - viraha-apeksa (tirobhava) and milana apeksa (avirbhava): ek visesa tattva
-Yogamaya stithi: sidha nitya milana
labdhvā su-durlabham idaṁ bahu-sambhavānte
mānuṣyam artha-dam anityam apīha dhīraḥ
tūrṇaṁ yateta na pated anu-mṛtyu yāvan
niḥśreyasāya viṣayaḥ khalu sarvataḥ syāt
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (11.9.29)
This human birth is very rare, because it is only attained after many lifetimes. Although temporary, it can give the highest benefit [and be a springboard leading to spiritual perfection]. After all, sense gratification is available in all species [whereas spiritual perfection is possible only for human beings]. Therefore, an intelligent person should immediately, without wasting a single moment, begin to endeavour [with one-pointed dedication] to achieve the ultimate good fortune, before death comes.
