11/07/22am – Types of Vedas, Kandas and Upasanas (English) – Brazil | Srila BV Vana Maharaja

-Mayavadis call themselves vedanti as they think only they are qualified to read the Vedas
-Vyasadeva manifested the 4 Vedas
-Karma-kanda, jnana-kanda and bhakti-kanda (deva-upasana & isvara-upasana) are the three sections of Vedas
-There are 33 categories of devatas
-Types of upasana: deva-upasana (shaivas, shaktas, ganapattas, sauras), isvara-upasana (Vaishnavas)
-The demigods (devas) can only give dharma, artha and kama and any fruits they give come from Lord Krsna.
-The conditioned living entities worship the devatas because they are completely illucidated by maya and her 3 gunas.
-The misunderstanding of sastra saying there are 33 kotis (sections) verses koras (millions)
(Kotis is correct)
-The story of the Christian judge who determined that Krsna was God in our religion instead of Shiva based on two pictures – without even any need for sastric evidence, just simple observation.
-All jivas are vaishnavas. The two types of vaishnavas: suddha & viddha
-The meaning of Om – Aum- each of the 3 syllables
-The jivas are all sleeping, bhukti & mukti are like ghosts who inhabit our body and make us lose our real identity
-Gurudeva is the sadhu-vaidya: Ayurvedic doctor, who will give harinama & mantra and make the ghost go away. Then we will get our real identification as a servant of Krsna
-Lila of Mahaprabhu running away from the ashrama of the daru sannyasi on the day of Ekadashi
