28 Dec 2025 evening – The Glories of the Srimad Bhagavatam (English) – Sao Paulo, Brazil | Srila BV Vana Maharaja

  • Before beginning a song, we should read its meaning and translation, so our hearts will be touched.
  • To truly listen means to practice what you have heard.
  • In Kali-yuga, many people will come to confuse us, and we will not know which perfect path and philosophy we should follow. Therefore, Mahaprabhu instructs us to be single-minded in Guru and Krishna, and to chant the Holy Names.
  • If our mind is disturbed, it means we are not listening to Harikatha correctly.
  • What our Guru Parampara is saying is the absolute truth.
  • First, we must try to control our own mind.
  • If our mind is not focused, it becomes disturbed; this demonstrates that we do not yet have guru-nistha and that we are not doing bhajana and sadhana.
  • Kali-yuga begins on the day Krishna departs from this material world, 5000 years ago, at the end of Dvapara-yuga.
  • Abhyasa and vairagya (constant practice and renunciation of sense pleasure) are the means to control our mind.
  • The Srimad Bhagavatam is like a bridge in this world used to traverse material existence.
  • The association that Krishna founded in Braja.
