24 Aug 2025 evening – Appearance Day of Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja (English) | Philippines

– Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja possessed guru-nistha and fulfilled all the wishes of his Guru Srila Svami Maharaja.
– A Vaisnava has two types of activities: internal and external.
– Externally, a pure devotee of the Lord (suddha-bhakta) has hard activities, but internally, his heart is soft like a flower petal.
– Just as a mother scolds her child, the guru scolds/punishes his disciples, and this is called guru-krpa, the mercy of the guru.
– Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja used to punish and scold his disciples.
– Srila Narayana Gosvami Maharaja said that his mood and that of Srila Goura Govinda Maharaja are almost the same.
– We must, at all times and in all situations, remember that the Lord is our eternal well-wisher.
– Guru and Krsna are always with us. By chanting the Holy Names, we will realize this.
– Srila Goura Govinda Maharaja left his body while speaking about a pastime of Vraja.
– Verse: “…yaṁ yaṁ vāpi smaran bhāvaṁ” (Bhagavad Gita 8.6) says that we should absorb our mind in Krsna, for whatever we are absorbed in at the time of death will be our destiny.
– If we relate to Krsna as a member of our family, it will be easier to remember Him at the time of death.
– The minds of the gopis are totally absorbed in Govinda, regardless of the activity they are performing.
– The art of living is to concentrate/absorb the mind in Krsna.
– There is no need to abandon family and other duties; our mind must be absorbed in Krsna.
– First, we need to emphasize chanting the Holy Names, because without chanting, our hearts will never be purified.
– We should chant the Holy Names and hear Harikatha every day.
– One should never be rude to one’s spouse. Always speak kind words is Vedic culture.
– About why Krsna eats butter with sugar cane every morning.
