PART 1
- Develop your bhajana-sadhana by hearing the harikatha.
- Kirtanakya-bhakti is very important.
- Sloka: vāco vegaṁ manasaḥ krodha-vegaṁ
jihvā-vegam… (Upadesamrta 1). - Srutidhara, the person who hears once and never forgets, is very rare to find. Srila BV Vamana Gosvami Maharaja is like that.
- Take notes!
- Three rules: offer obeisances, ask pertinent questions, serve.
- In Srimad Bhagavatam, Saunaka Rsi and the other Rsis asked Suta Gosvami six questions.
- Auspicious invocation: vande guru-pada-dvandvam… (Radha Krsna Ganoddesa Dipika).
- Suta Gosvami answers based on everything he heard from Sukadeva Gosvami.
- Read the Bhagavad Gita.
- When someone reads and speaks the Bhagavad Gita, Radha and Krsna appear at that place.
- Chant the eighteen names of the Bhagavad Gita: Ganga, Gita, Savitri, Sita, Satya, Pativrata, Brahmavali, Brahmavidya, Trisandhya, Muktigehini, Ardhamatra, Chidananda, Bhavaghni, Bhrantinasini, Vedatrayi, Parananda, Tattvartha, Jnana-manjari.
- Beautiful lila of Mahaprabhu in a Visnu Temple watching a young man reciting the Bhagavad Gita.
- By reading the Gita and reciting the eighteen names, you will develop faith.
- Without faith it will never be possible to develop bhajana-sadhana.
