– The Vedic Scripture explains that for a celebration to be successful, we must pray to our Istadeva and all obstacles are removed. – Whenever you do something good, many obstacles appear, including in relation to bhajana and sadhana. – The demigods disturb a person’s bhajana because they do not want him to let go of Maya. These difficulties come from the family too, that is nature. – Mother Sati did not want her son Nimai to accept sannyasi. – Do Mangala Carana at the celebration, otherwise the demigods will cause problems. – About adhivasa regarding the equipment for the fire ceremony: coconut, banana leaves, water in clay pots, etc. There are twenty-five pieces of equipment. – Kirtana adhivasa: there are several types of instruments for the celebration, fourteen of each. – Mahaprabhu said that the mrdanga is His body. – Mahaprabhu assigns Advaita Acarya to collect all the equipment for nama-sankirtana; Nityananda Prabhu to get Malay Candana and so on, as the next day they would celebrate Nama-sankirtana. – ”I am talking about adhivasa because everything must be prepared: beautiful decoration, stava-stuti (sung prayers), rice, saffron, sankalpa (vow) and so on, otherwise everything (Vedic knowledge) will disappear.” – The Hari-bhakti-vilasa mentions all this. – In the Age of Kali everyone says they don’t have time for adhivasa. – Devotees, especially Westerners, are very lazy. This knowledge is for you to know, the practice is for later. – Even if you can’t practise adhivasa, know about it. – First knowledge, then comes realisation, so says the Sastras. – Laksmi Devi come to the house where everything is clean.
