24 Jul 2026 evening – The Importance of Devotional Service (English) – Spa da Barra, Garopaba, Santa-Catarina, Brazil

– On Ekadasi day, all the seeds of sin are present in five types of grains, therefore we should not eat them.
– If our health is good, we should perform a complete fast, but if we are debilitated, there is the concession of being able to eat fruits, milk, yogurt, and some other items.
– If we properly observe the holy day of Ekadasi, we will not need to be born again in this material world and we will reach the abode of the Lord.
– Everything depends on each person’s faith; Sri Guru is not forcing us to do anything.
– The event that occurred at the beginning of creation, in Satya-yuga, between Ekadasi Devi and the demon Mura.
– The inner power of the Lord, after killing the demon, received the blessing of being worshipped in the same way as the Lord.
– By observing Ekadasi-tithi, we will be directly associating ourselves with the Lord.
– There is no difference between the potency (sakti) and the possessor of that potency (saktiman).
– If you serve a pure devotee, one who possesses an innate tendency to serve, pure devotion will manifest in your heart; otherwise, there will be no other way by which we can eliminate our anarthas.
– Serving is very important, but we should not pretend that we are serving the Holy Names, for example, the disciple who only said “name ache” to avoid serving his guru.
– There are six types of sevakas.
– We should serve Guru and Vaishnavas in the same way that we worship our own soul.
– Service arises from sambandha-jnana and mamata – the knowledge of our relationship and possessiveness.
– The essence of all sadhana and bhajana is chanting the Holy Names.
