For most people this is just Navadvipa railway station… For Gurudev it is a maha-tirtha. Because this is the place where Yuga-acharya nitya-lila pravishta om vishnupada Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja first arrived in Sri Navadvipa-dhama.
When the lotus feet of such a pure devotee touch a place, that place becomes sacred forever. Today, while traveling from Navadvipa to Jagannatha Puri, a beautiful remembrance awakened in the heart of Srila Gurudeva Srimad Bhaktivedanta Vana Gosvami Maharaja. Standing on this platform, those pastimes of his Gurudeva manifested vividly within his heart.
He also recalled hownitya-lila pravishta om vishnupada Srila Bhaktivedanta Vamana Gosvami Maharaja, then known as Sajjana Sevaka Brahmachari, personally received Srila Narayana Maharaja from this very station and brought him to the temple.
Sometimes the greatest tirthas are not famous temples or rivers.
Sometimes they are simple places touched by the lotus feet of Sri Guru.
