11 Sep 2025 morning – Bhakti Comes from the Heart of the Sadhu (English) | Christchurch, New Zealand

– The kanistha-adhikari has neither sastra-jnana nor common sense.
– Description of the difference between kanistha, madhyama, and uttama adhikari devotees.
– The behavior of the kanistha and uttama adhikari appears the same but is completely different.
– The madhyama acts with discrimination.
– The uttama sees the Lord everywhere, sees sacred places everywhere, and sees people as servants of the Supreme Lord.
– Uttama-adhikari is of three types: Bhagavad-parsa-devavrata – eternal associates of Krsna: Narada Muni is an example; Murcitha-kasaiy – has some level of satuikhi-bhava realization: Narada Muni when he was the son of a maidservant in his previous life; and Nirdhuta-kasay – Sukadeva Gosvami is an example.
– Devotees should remain in sadhu-sanga with: bhakta-sadhu/bhakta-bhagavata or with grantha-sadhu/grantha-bhagavata.
– Devotees are classified into uttama, madhyama, kanistha, and each of these is subdivided, respectively, into the levels: kanistha, madhyama, and uttama.
– When we read a grantha, we are associating with the author (grantha-sadhu or grantha-bhagavata).
– Don’t be alone; always be accompanied by the sastra and the sadhu, especially the jivanta-bhagavata, because this sadhu is able to explain the correct meaning of each sloka.
– In a conversation with Sanatana Gosvami, Mahaprabhu presents 91 meanings for the verse: ātmārāmāś ca munayo… (CC Madhya-lila 25.159).
– Verses have many meanings, but the sadhu knows how to explain which meaning is excellent. Sadhu-sanga is fundamental.
– Bhakti comes from the heart of the sadhu. When you read a grantha, pray that the author blesses you with understanding the teachings.
– Mahaprabhu’s lila with the illiterate young man who read the Bhagavad-gita with love and sincerity.
– Stages of the bhakti process: aropa-siddha-bhakti; sanga-siddha-bhakti; svarupa-siddha-bhakti.
– About Bhakti Rasamrta Sindhu Bindu.
– Another definition of the progressive stages of the bhakti process: sadhana-bhakti, bhava-bhakti, prema-bhakti associated with the progressive stages of removal of the anarthas — eka-desa-varttini, bahu-desa-varttini, prayiki, purna and atyantiki.
