* Upavasa means being close to the Lord.
* We must give our bodies a break so our stomach can digest better. However, simply not eating is not enough. It is necessary to chant the Holy Names, as this is upavasa.
* We will achieve self-realization through chanting the Holy Names.
* Besides being rare to incarnate as a human being, our bodies are fragile and we can die at any moment.
* Before we die, we must receive the diksa-mantras from a bona fide guru, otherwise our life will be useless and we will not have the chance to receive a human body again.
* If we want to receive a human body again, we must receive the diksa-mantras before we die.
* ⁠If we die before reaching perfection, God will arrange everything for us in the next life.
* Jnana gives us a little enlightenment, but bhakti takes us to Goloka Vrndavana.
* There is no point in being vegan and not chanting the Holy Names. All action is useless without chanting the Holy Names of the Lord.
* God does not accept food from those who have not received diksa initiation.
