30/05/24 midday – Detailed Description of the Wonderful Service that Radha and the Gopis Do to Krsna (English translation) – Zoom | Srila BV Vana Maharaja
tvdegurudev
Krsna’s curiosity about Radha’s feelings for Him.
Krsna takes the form of Gouranga with the skin colour and moods of Radha.
If Gouranga had not taken shelter of the Guru’s lotus feet, He would not have been able to taste the sweetness of Radha’s feelings.
Mahaprabhu accepts sannyasi, He goes to Jagannatha Puri and there he freed Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya.
Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya tells Mahaprabhu to meet Raya Ramananda, the governor of Prataparudra Maharaja.
The first meeting of Mahaprabhu and Raya Ramananda.
Mahaprabhu’s questions to Raya Ramananda go in a crescendo: varnasrama-dharma; give everything you do to Krsna; abandon even dharma/duties and surrender to the Lord; jnana-misra-bhakti; abandon the striving for knowledge (jnana) and offer respects to harikatha; the five main and seven secondary rasa; bhakti begins in dasya-bhava; madhurya-bhava of the gopis is the highest.
Radha and the gopis are on the Lord’s list of servants. The nature of the soul is to serve the Lord and feel bliss in doing so: seva-ananda.
Vaidhi-bhakti makes the soul reach Vaikuntha and raganuga-bhakti makes the soul reach Goloka Vrndavana.
Tattva-jnana is important, we must listen to harikatha in the company of sadhus, from there bhakti begins.
First vaidhi-bhakti, then raganuga-bhakti with the help of the sadhu plus the lobha (greed) of the sadhaka.
Characteristics of those who have lobha.
Prema is when one has possessiveness only for Visnu/Krsna.
Diksa, divya-jnana, transcendental knowledge: if you don’t have common sense, how will you achieve transcendental knowledge?
Diksa (relationship knowledge) takes time to fully realise.
We must listen to the harikatha of the rasika-vaisnava, enter into tattva-siddhanta, understand the pure conceptions to enter into purity.
Prema has no end.
Sweet and wonderful explanation of Ramananda Raya’s fainting upon seeing Mahaprabhu’s rasa-raja-mahabhava-svarupa form.
