– Srila Rupa Gosvamipad gave definition for shuddha-bhakti in the shloka. -The shloka speaks about svarupa-lakshana & tatastha-lakshana of bhakti. -anukulyena krishna-anu-shilanam refers to svarupa-lakshana(intrinsic form) of bhakti. -anukulyena means doing service in a favourable way pleasing to Krishna. -About 2 doshas: ativyapti-dosha(over-extension) , avyapti-dosha (under extension). -For avyapti-dosha Eg:Mother Yashoda leaves Krishna while feeding breast milk in order to save the milk from overflowing.Mother Yashoda thinks of Krishna’s pleasure in saving the milk to make butter for Him.But Krishna gets angry. -For ativyapti-dosha Eg:Wrestlers Chanura & Mushtika fights with Krishna in Kamsa’s arena.Krishna gets pleasure in fighting but the wrestlers aim is to kill Krishna;an unfavourable desire. -anu-shilanam means serve incessantly without any interruption with sentiments in one of the rasas. -anya-abhilashita-shunyam jnana-karma-adi-anavrtam refers to tatastha-lakshana of bhakti. -Sadhaka’s heart shouldn’t be covered with karma, jnana, yoga & free from unwanted things. -In the beginning sadhaka needs karma, jnana. Sadhaka needs shastra-jnana for discrimination. -About 3 types of jnana: tat padartha jnana, tvam padarka jnana, jiva brahma aikya jnana. -How Bhrigu Rishi established the fact Lord Vishnu is Bhagavan but not Lord Brahma & Lord Shiva. -About charity & food & how it can be either an act of karma or an act of bhakti if used in Krishna’s service.
