This is very painful for the heart. Special Message by Srila Gurudeva Srimad Bhaktivedanta Vana Gosvami Maharaja Ji on the disappearance of Nitya-lila Pravishta Om Vishnupada Astottara-sata-sri Srila Bhaktivedanta Tridandi Gosvami Maharaja Ji.
He was a very special recipient of the mercy of Srila Param Gurudeva Om Vishnupada Astottara-sata-sri Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja, always kind, always giving blessings, always absorbed in bhajan. It is the divine great fortune that his final rites and cremation were done near Radha Kunda, which is itself a rare and direct blessing of Srimati Radhika.
In Sri Chaitanya-caritamrita,:
duhkha-madhye kona duhkha haya gurutara
krishna-bhakta-viraha vina duhkha nahi dekhi para
“Of all kinds of distress, what is the most painful? Apart from separation from the devotee of Krishna, I know of no unbearable unhappiness.” This is from Chaitanya-caritamrita, Madhya-lila 8.248.
That is the mood today. Separation is painful, but it also reveals the glory of such a Vaishnava’s life.
