– The last words of Srila Param Gurudeva, Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja Ji, to Srila Bhaktivedanta Vana Gosvami Maharaja Ji.
Today, on the disappearance day of the Yuga-Acharya Srila Param Gurudeva, here is an emotional memory of separation shared by Srila Bhaktivedanta Vana Gosvami Maharaja Ji — a moment that still touches the heart of every disciple.
In 2010, during Srila Gurudeva’s last Govardhana Parikrama, he lovingly instructed:
“Preaching is the essence of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. Go, return quickly, and I will meet you in Navadvipa.”
Having full faith in his Gurudeva’s words, Srila Bhaktivedanta Vana Gosvami Maharaja Ji travelled to America to continue spreading the mission of Sri Mahaprabhu.
But upon landing in Brazil, he received the heartbreaking news of Srila Gurudeva’s divine disappearance.
Even amidst that pain, Gurudev held on to one thing —
Guru-mukha-padma-vākya — the words spoken by Sri Guru never become false.
To this day, he feels Srila Gurudeva’s presence in Navadvipa Dham, in his eternal, radiant form.
