We are on the border between Mathura and Vrndavana.
The distance between Mathura and Vrndavana is only two fingers’ width.
Vrndavana is the land of sweetness, and Mathura, of opulence.
Kamsa sent many demons to Vrndavana, but none of them returned.
After Kamsa had used all the available demons without obtaining a satisfactory result, he lost hope.
Kamsa’s conclusion was that as long as Krsna was in Vrndavana, he would not be able to kill Him.
Akrura was the person who had a connection with Mathura and Vrndavana.
When Krsna left Vrndavana and went to Mathura, He was ten years and eight months old.
To try and convince Krsna and Balaram, Akrura declared to Them that Devaki and Vasudeva were His parents.
It is Krsna’s duty to punish the demons and protect the devotees.
In Nanda Maharaja’s lap, Krsna gently asked permission to participate in the great event that would take place in Mathura.
Jiva Gosvami, describing the heat of separation that the gopis felt, explained the three types of separation: past, present, and future.
At that moment the gopis prayed, saying: “Oh Brahmaji, you have no compassion, we have friends and family now, but, in the course of time, we will be separated.”
Although the opulence of Vrndavana outweighs the opulence of all the other sacred cities combined, the sweetness of Vrndavana overshadows this opulence.
