  • The Jagannatha Temple is self-manifest.
  • After the snana yatra, Lord Jagannatha wanted to travel to another place, so He goes to the Gundica Temple.
  • Prahlada Maharaja also performed Ratha Yatra with the Deity of Visnu, in Satya Yuga.
  • The change of place brings a change of mood to Jagannatha.
  • Lord Caitanya recites a verse that conveys his mood (parakiya-bhava).
  • Svarupa Damodara also recited this verse to stimulate Mahaprabhu’s mood. Srila Rupa Gosvami has written a verse in the same mood: priyaḥ so ‘yaṁ kṛṣṇaḥ saha-cari kuru-kṣetra-militas… (CC Antya-lila 1. 114).
