- We serve Maya Devi, but she is not satisfied with us and beats us severely.
- We are slaves of lust, anger and envy.
- Following the sadhu’s instructions, Maya Devi will leave us.
- Verse: ‘sādhu-saṅga’ ‘sādhu-saṅga’ sarva-śāstre kaya (CC Madhya 22.54).
- Always listen to harikatha, for Hari enters through the ears and goes to the heart, purifying all that is unnecessary.
- Serve grantha-bhagavata and bhakta-bhagavata every day.
- It is not possible to know what is good or bad without association with the sadhu.
- Bhakti-devi manifests with the association of the pure devotee of the Lord.
- Tava verse kathāmṛtaṁ tapta-jīvanaṁ (ŚB 10.31.9).
- The best giver is the one who distributes Krsna-katha.
- In the month of Kartika, glorify Krsna, and in the month of Purusottama, glorify Radha, so that both may be happy.

- During the month of Purusottama, we also glorify Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
- Mahaprabhu followed Purusottama vrata and Caturmasya vrata.
- Mahaprabhu stayed in the house of the Bhatta brothers for four months.
- In this Purusottama-masa, one abandons all material activities and one-pointedly serves Radha and Krsna and listens to the katha of Srimad Bhagavatam.
- It is not possible to attain the highest perfection without surrendering at the feet of Sri Sacinandana Gaurahari.
