- People celebrate their birthdays, but we are celebrating Krishna’s birthday.
- The Vrajavasis are always focused on Krishna.
- Mother Yasoda goes to the bank of the Yamuna with Nanda Baba, offers 1008 candles and performs Arati in celebration of Krishna’s birthday, while brahmanas recite mantras and Svastivachan.
- When the candles run away from the bank of the Yamuna, Gopala brings them back close to the bank. Mother Yasoda asks why He is doing this, and Krishna explains that His nature is to bring to the shore all those who are flowing away.
