Bhagavat-kripa-anugamini and bhakta-kripa-anugamini.
What level of devotee can give mercy?
Bilvamangala Thakura and Chintamani.
You will realise guru-tattva by doing bhajana and sadhana.
Unwavering nishtha of Haridasa Thakura.
Types of non-devotee gurus.
Question: How do you get rid of the 5 types of obstacles to bhajana?
Laya (sleep); vikshepa (distraction); apratipatti (inability to concentrate on ishtadeva; indifference or disinterest in spiritual matters); kashaya (tendency to bad habits, bad impressions from past lives); rasasvada (taste for material pleasures). -The anger of conditioned souls comes from the gunas of material nature, while the anger of shuddha-bhaktas always brings mercy (example of Narada Rishi getting angry with Nalakuvera and Manigriva).
How to control the mind: by chanting the holy names, by abhyasa and vairagya, but not phalgu-vairagya, rather yukta-vairagya.
Yogis can control the mind only temporarily. Chanting the holy names helps to control the mind permanently.
Maintaining balance in sleep.
Shad-gosvami-ashtaka (6).
Upadeshamrita 8.
6 stages of anishthita-bhajana: utsaha-mayi, ghana-tarala, vyudha-vikalpa, visaya-sangara, niyamaksama, taranga-rangini.
Bhakti is both difficult and easy. It is easy for one who is simple and difficult for one who is crooked. Helsinki
