Speaking is easy, listening is difficult.
3 types of listeners: shrota (one who listens); sarota (one who does not listen); and, sota (one who sleeps).
Not listening to hari-katha is an offence, but if you also gossip during hari-katha, it is a much worse offence.
We got the opportunity of the human body only after we were born into the 8,400,000 life forms. And the human body is given to us to hear hari-katha from the lotus-mouths of sadhus, gurus and vaisnavas.
God is in hari-katha.
Never listen to hari-katha from non-devotees, i.e. those who criticise Vaisnavas.
