08/02/21 – Sri Bhagavat Saptaha, Day 5. Srila Gurudev glories & Reasons for Krishna’s Avirbhava (translation) – Mathura

-There is no difference between bhakta & Bhagavan. Bhakta & Bhagavan cannot stay away from one another. -To understand grantha-bhagavata one has to take the guidance of bhakta bhagavata. For that reason we are glorifying the transcendental life history of Srila Gurudev. -Srila Gurudev having 5 qualities of a sadhu – titikshava, karunika, ajata satruvu, suhida, sarva dehinam. -Srila Gurudev corrects others by saying that Krishna manifested Himself in Mathura in front of Devaki & Vasudeva but was actually born in Gokul to Mother Yashoda & Nanda Baba. -Srila Gurudev will not tolerate apasiddhanta & asks to listen to actual siddhanta from him. -The duty of a disciple who took diksha is to listen hari-katha first from Gurudev. -Today is the appearance day of Srila Trivikrama Goswami Maharaj, a maha-bhagavata & about his glories. -Gaudiya Vedanta Samiti’s 3 pillars Srila Vamana Goswami Maharaj, Srila Trivikrama Goswami Maharaj and Srila Narayana Goswami Maharaj. -Srila Narayana Goswami Maharaj has very deep affection towards Srila BV Swami Maharaj & glorified him in western preaching & in a book. -Srila Gurudev is Ramana Manjari. Srila Gurudev used to open everything in front of his disciples. -Sadhu savadhan — Be careful even if you get a sad guru & commit offenses everything will be destroyed. -Goloka Vrindavan is ananda maya dham & there is no maya there. Everyone is in the service of Krishna. -If you ask Srimati Radhika whether She is married or unmarried She isn’t bothered about it as She thinks of Krishna’s service. -Primary reason for Krishna’s avirbhava is people will listen to His Katha & they will get freed from lust, anger etc. -Its not easy to conquer lust & Brahmaji, Shivaji shows lila for proof. -Secondary reason is to protect varnashrama-dharma & sadhus & kill demons. -Story of Lord Vamana & Ratnavali & how Lord Krishna shows His mercy on Rathavali in Dvapara-yuga. -Story of Lord Ramachandra shows mercy on the ladies of Janaka puri; giving a chance to come as gopis in krishna-lila. -In Kali-yuga one need not listen to anything other than Srimad-Bhagavatam
