Thief listens to harikatha and goes to Vrndavan to find Kṛṣṇa and steal His ornaments; Slokas: ahara-nidra-bhaya-maithunam ca samanyam etat paśubhir naranam dharmo hi tesam adhiko viśeso dharmena hinah paśubhih samanah (Hitopadeśa 25/JD Intro) Animals are equal to human beings in the matters of eating, sleeping, mating and defending. Yet the ability to practice spiritual life is unique to human beings, and without dharma, they are nothing but animals.
